The SYNOT Group continues its successful cooperation with the Greek state lottery which is operated as a monopoly by OPAP company. SYNOT will deliver another two thousand video-lottery terminals to Greece.

SYNOT succeeded in the tender in 2015, when it became one of the four world suppliers of video- lottery terminals and won as the only continental European supplier.

"In the first phase, we have delivered to Greek state lottery two thousand machines, and part of which are in operation for a long time. OPAP recently made its own evaluation of cooperation. We are very pleased to know that they are so satisfied with our technology that we have agreed to increase the number of machines significantly. Therefore, we will deliver another two thousand video-lottery terminals to Greece," said Neofytos Neofytou, managing director of SYNOT International Limited.

These machines should be operated within the OPAP network already in the second half of the year 2018. Together with previously supplied devices, there will be four thousand pieces of gaming devices which customers can find in hundreds of venues.

Greece, after the years of prohibition, which has caused an unprecedented rise of illegal gaming, has returned to legitimate, regulated lotteries. There were 150,000 illegal machines in the country, and no one knew what to do with them. OPAP, which has now a monopoly related to the lottery operations in the country, has signed the first contract with SYNOT already in 2015. However, implementation of the project has been delayed due to unresolved legislation.

In Greece, SYNOT Group plans, just like in other countries where it does business, branching out into other areas of investment. We are talking about IT technologies, telecommunication services, sports supporting or tourism-related investments.
